Q) What do I need from my insurance company to get the process started?
A) The claim number is the first thing you need to get started. This number will follow your car through the whole process. Once you have the claim number, call Meade Collision, and we’ll take care of the rest. It may be necessary for your insurance company to look at the vehicle first and write an estimate before the repairs can begin.
Q) Do I have to pay a deductible?
A) In some cases, insurance companies do waive deductibles. If you are unsure about the deductible, call your insurance agent. He or she will be able to tell you the deductible amount and whether it will be waived.
Q) What is covered by comprehensive insurance coverage?
A) Damage to your vehicle from theft, vandalism, fire, water, and/or glass breakage.
Q) Can I have other service work done while my car is in for collision work?
A) Yes. Inform your Collision Consultant that you would like to have other services performed at the same time.
Q) How long will the repairs take?
A) Once you appointment is scheduled, we will give you an estimated completion time. If additional damage is found after tear down, we may need more time to repair your vehicle properly. We will notify you if any additional time will be necessary to repair your vehicle.
Q) Can you match the color of my vehicle?
A) Yes. Meade Collision has invested in a state-of-the-art computerized paint-matching system to ensure that each vehicle’s new paint matches the original factory paint.
Q) How will I know when my car is ready?
A) A representative from Meade Collision will notify you when your vehicle is complete. You may also call or email us any time during the repair process to get a status report on your vehicle.
Q) Can I get a ride home while the vehicle is being repaired?
A) Yes. We just ask that you call ahead so we have a driver available to take you home.
Q) Is a loaner vehicle provided while my car is being repaired?
A) We do not provide a loaner vehicle for collision repairs. However, we have a relationship with Hertz Rent a Car.
Q) Guarantee on the repairs?
A) Yes. We provide a lifetime guarantee on the workmanship, and the replacement parts are subject to the manufacturer’s warranties.
